Sums up the Scottish (British?) mentality that a player would choose to stay at Greenock Morton rather than join the champions of Romania and play in the Champions League. Brazilians, to use one example, can be found in virtually every league of the world, from Northern Ireland to Uzbekistan.

Romania would be a shitty place to stay though...

Aye can't imagine Romania is a lovely place to live but had he joined Unirea, he would've been playing against Liverpool in the Europa League. Imagine the publicity that would've got him, a Scot playing for a Romanian side against Liverpool. Instead he decides to stay at Morton for 6 months and then join Hamilton Accies. No ambition. Ivan Sproule was the same. Rejected a £1 million move to a Ukrainian club but was quickly on his way when the mighty Bristol City came in for him
