andy steel 0
I dunno mate, you have the right sort of temperament. You just need to work your charm and get a few high profile backers. I'd back you, so that's one Although, if it doesn't work out, maineflyer said on the politics thread that he owned a company. That's something like the credentials. Let's have a Gersnet-led takeover attempt. I don't know if this fly here, so I should mention it's a joke: Maineflyer get tae fcuk and take yer bumboy Wabash with ye!

maineflyer 0
Pete, you might want a supporter-led solution but at the same time you must know that it can never actually happen. The gross indulgence and arrogance of the Murray years created a type of complacency among many supporters that was virtually absent in previous years. You see it in the subway disloyal, the shop-a-fan brigade, the manic support-in-the-face-of-all-evidence for Murray, the invention of the "Rangers Way", the sheer gullibility about issues like TBB, etc, etc. Out of that rose self-serving groups like those running the RST, Follow Follow, and others. Division has been the rule, not unity, and the idea that the Rangers support can somehow act in pursuit of a common objective is pushing fantasy to the limits. I also wish it would happen but the truth is the Rangers support has changed out of all recognition these last 20 years and there's no longer enough backbone to challenge anyone. Activists do there talking anonymously on internet forums like this. There is no collective voice among Rangers fans and there will be no leadership to the harness supporters' will. I saw the best of Rangers before Murray arrived and I'm privileged that I had that opportunity. I now believe there's no hope of seeing such days again unless we now sink so low that the poison in the stands chooses to find another hobby to follow and we can start again. I blame Murray but I also blame the fans who make it impossible to deliver what you are looking for - we can't avoid the truth in the mirror in all this.
Zappa 0
Agree with maineflyer regarding fan-ownership being fantasy and I think that's why the likes of the RST have gone quiet on it - Maybe they've finally come down from cloud cuckoo land and realized they don't have a snowball's chance in hell. As I've said before, the only fan-ownership scheme that could work is one led by the club itself, but the chances of the majority shareholder opting for it are not that high. It would require a wealthy buyer taking over who believes that fan-ownership is the best thing for the future of the club; in other words, a madman.
wabashcannonball 0
We can do absolutely zero, only trust in fate and the future.
