Rangers Football Club 0
N. IRELAND under-19 international Andrew Mitchell joins Light Blues More... RANGERS have signed former Manchester City youngster Andrew Mitchell on a two-year deal. The 18-year-old midfielder, who can also play at right-back, is eligible for under-19 football next season and will join Billy Andrew Kirkwood's squad initially. But hopes are high that he will be one of several youngsters that can force their way in to the first-team set-up sooner rather than later. Mitchell was recently named in Northern Ireland's 18-man squad for the 2009/10 UEFA European under-19 Championship Elite round tournament. Steve Beaglehole's boys will take on Russia, Italy and the Czech Republic in Group 5 which is being hosted by the Russians from May 21-26. And Mitchell got the chance to meet some of his Murray park teammates when he travelled to Hong Kong for the prestigious Soccer Sevens tournament in which Rangers reached the final but lost 3-2 to Aston Villa on Sunday. Guest laudrupno1
We've also signed the lad McMahon and Wayne Drummond from Millwall for the young teams... Are they any better than the likes of lennon etc that were letting go?

Bluedell 5,708
Who is making these decisions and how does that person know if we have the budget for them?
Frankie 8,677
Who is making these decisions and how does that person know if we have the budget for them? Pretty sure the Mitchell transfer was agreed a few weeks back so perhaps these are RYD deals which is ring-fenced money?

Not sure how RYD funds can be ring-fenced when it owes the club over £1m and is technically insolvent.
metlika 0
Not exactly what we are after currently. We seem to be going after a fair number of English youth players any reason why?
Zappa 0
Maybe the lad is getting brought in as a 'possible' back-up for right back if Broadfoot moves on then?
