Ross County 2-1 Hibernian

Go on the County!

My Grandad is from near Dingwall originally and is a huge fan of the club (as well as Rangers). Unfortunately, now he's 83, he's has the early stages of Alzheimer's so his memory is fading of such things although his general health is OK thankfully.

Would be fantastic for him to see County play at Hampden in a proper Cup tie. He took me there over 10 years ago to see County play Queens Park in a league game but this will be totally different for him!

Have to say I really really fancied County to beat Hibs last night. They've been playing really well recently, so I wouldn't go as far as saying the bheasts have a bye to the final. County are a side that could beat Celtic.

I attended last night's match and for the second game in a row County completely outplayed Hibs all over the park, 60% possession and 12 shots on goal. Hibs fans were fighting each other on the street after the match.

Watching the highlights in the Mallard pub after the match was a bit surreal especially as the guy who scored the equaliser (Garry Woods) walked in to an heroic ovation and saw himself score on telly.

Normally what happens is an SPL team comes to Victoria Park and dominates possession and has more shots on goal, not last night, even at Easter road County kept the ball better than Hibs. Last night though some of the one touch stuff from County amazed me, Hibs didn't know how to cope with the pace of the County players. Celtic beware, it'll take more than just Aiden McGeady to try and beat an on-fire team.
