wabashcannonball 0
Nae bother son, an auld man is happy to help, I think the favoured expression for the shenanigans going on here, is that our club appears to have been and still is being economical with the truth. Ellis's apparent amateur approach also set the alarm bells off, NL should be able to tell us by the ringtone he heard, whither Ellis was in or out of the country, at the time of the calls, his bill will also tell him where or in which country his call terminated, every little bit helps. I will need to stop watching Z cars I am turning into an investigative tadger. :spl:

The more I reflect on it the more I'm convinced this whole affair is riven with bullshit from beginning to end. Sometimes it needs a shake.
stewarty 2,060
I think most of the bullshit has come from the speculation in the media and the online community. I will await something more official before passing judgement. And I'm not sure the minutes and other references dug out from the GCC website tells us one way or the other.

wabashcannonball 0
You've done a good job here wabash. The more I reflect on it the more I'm convinced this whole affair is riven with bullshit from beginning to end. Sometimes it needs a shake. The word outline is missing from most of the references to planning, except from the Guardian link, an easy mistake to make if not clued up on property deals and developments, which I am far from clued up on.
Union City Blue 0
Now why would I insist on anything, you have the docs, the docs do not back anything up that has been stated planning permission outline or otherwise..........unless of course you can find them. btw, well done for finding and posting a link to the GCC Executive Committe doc which states that Rangers "secured planning consent in 2005 for a major development around Ibrox Stadium, including a regional casino (and associated minor retail development), a 4/5 star hotel, conference facilities, leisure centre, and new public realm in and around the stadium and its main accesses". You're in my "pissin in the wind" team now then?
rbr 1,270
so really after 6 pages we are no further ahead in , if Ellis is genuine he has just wasted a whole heap of money for nothing , or is as wabash alludes just another of Murray's smoke and mirrors . Thank god there's a football match on today

You're in my "pissin in the wind" team now then? This is getting to be hard work, there are many indications of planning permission in many places, except the one that matters ...planning applications granted or otherwise. There is no lawful recording of planning permission being requested or granted in any recorded minutes, therefore there is no planning permission granted, outline is nothing more than we like your idea, come back with the full monty and we will consider it more fully. NL 255 is the code from Zanzibar/Tanzania.
maineflyer 0
There's an undercurrent gathering momentum that says a deal is close to being announced and, surprise, surprise David Murray will continue to be part of Rangers. Some of you may already be aware of this but I suspect most will not. I don't have privileged information and I don't know this to be definitely true but I'm prepared to believe it might well be. If so, I guess Wabashcannonball has been on the right tracks after all, if he'll pardon the pun.
