wabashcannonball 0
Two great results in Europe , one by Lyon one by Fulham, surely we should be looking to emulate their performances, neither team is a team most Rangers supporters would expect to lose to over two legs, so where has it all gone wrong. It isn't through lack of matches, Rangers have played more Euro ties than any other British club.
craig 5,199
Fulham I would give you, but Lyon ? I doubt that "most" Rangers fans would feel that way about Lyon currently.
Dr Preston Burke 0
Fulham and Lyon have squads we could only dream of having though the sentiment is reasonable enough. Still, Rangers aren't going to knock Real Madrid out of the European Cup any time soon

You can put me down for expecting to beat them over two legs, if not why bother turning up. A faint heart never won a Fair Lady. :spl:
Norris Cole 0
Fulham are lucky to have one of the best British managers of the modern era, however they are also lucky to play in a league which affords them financial clout way out of line with the size of club they are. A stunning result nevertheless. But I don't think there can be much doubt a club like Rangers in similar financial circumstances would be beating teams like Juventus on a regular basis. I mean Christ, we have the third largest fanbase in the United Kingdom.

I take it Celtic with their 400 million in Seville are the biggest.
maineflyer 0
I take it Celtic with their 400 million in Seville are the biggest. Since the bheasts consider everyone in the papish cult to be part of the sellick family, I think they'd claim a whole lot more than that. Whether the abused thousands would willingly be buying season tickets is in more doubt these days.
bluedan 93
Lyon spent about 80 million euros in the summer. However anything can happen in football. I never thought some back yard club from Romania would pump us on our own turf.

I never thought some back yard club from Romania would pump us on our own turf. Nor did i think we would go and beat Lyon 3-0 on their own patch But in modern day football these can only happen as one offs. A team from Scotland won't consistently beat better teams in Europe
