Bluedell 5,686
Agree he was one of his best signings, but it's telling that 4 pages in and plenty of folk replying and no one else bar you remembered him. Cuellar did a dirty on us and that's sadly what I will always remember him for. Hence why I've forgotten him. For agreeing to leave the club so that they could afford to buy Mendes, Davis and Edu, which resulted in us winning the league? I hate to think what state the club would have been in now had he not left.
Danny 0
For agreeing to leave the club so that they could afford to buy Mendes, Davis and Edu, which resulted in us winning the league? Errr, wot? He did not agree to leave Rangers for our own good hahaha! He had a clause in his contract stating a certain value bid for him had to be accepted, and when MON bid said amount, Cuellar was away quicker than you can say 'Spanish call up'. Cuellar wants to play for Spain, and wanted to play in the EPL - he killed at least one of those birds with the move to Villa, and is looking to smash the other one too - something he could not do at Ibrox. And still can't, let's face it. If he *really* planned to stay at Ibrox for the rest of his career, why did he insist on having that clause inserted? I hate to think what state the club would have been in now had he not left. tbh I agree, but you're the first person to ever turn around and say he did an Amoruso and imbue him with altruism. Amo really DID leave us to financially help us out. The fact we made money from Cuellar though was nothing to do with his desire to leave.
