Weir's record at Rangers in terms of the number of games he's played at his age is outstanding:

A fantastic Ranger, a fantastic captain and up there with Davis for the individual awards imo.

 

Miller and Boyd have tailed off recently since their returns from injury, which is disappointing as they were both in the running. Amazingly, as Frankie says too, McCulloch is right up there.

I actually think McCulloch should take the plaudits today, he was immense both in midfield and later in defence.

I fully admit I was not at my best watching this one, that's why I look forward to other opinions. The team toiled today and spent most the game on the back foot so it would be hard to give it to an offensive player. But the defence, although it held firm, was not at it's most stingy either so maybe David Weir was not a good call. Just struggling to pick one individual, although the 9 men must take great credit from today.

On a few occasions McCulloch broke down STM attacks and was up with the attack to have a shot or get involved in forward play. No doubt in my mind who was our best player today.
