ian1964 10,826
DOUGIE McDONALD will be the referee for Sunday's eagerly-anticipated Old Firm clash at Ibrox. It will be the first time that McDonald has handled a Glasgow derby in the SPL since the explosive opener last seasn. He sent off Daniel Cousin and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and flashed seven yellow cards as Rangers stunned Celtic with a 4-2 win. McDonald was also in charge for last season's Co-operative Insurance Cup Final when Rangers lost 2-0 to their big rivals in extra time. It will be the fifth time that he will take charge of an Old Firm game. He was the man in the middle on September 23, 2006 when Celtic won 2-0 and on November 19, 2005 when Rangers went down 3-0 at Parkhead.

Gazza_8 233
No doubt there will be many fans from both sets of the OF moan about this appointment. However, no matter who was picked as ref, they'd moan. Worry about us going out and winning first and foremost and then slate the ref. The standard of refs are shite but what chance do they get when they're given a verbal ass raping before a ball's been kicked.

Tannochsidebear 2,476
Well let's hope he does a better job than his last 2 attempts where he has managed to send off 2 Rangers players and infuriate Rangers fans with countless dubious and baffling decisions. In fact reading back the match reports he has denied us penalties in 2 games as well. I just hope he avoids all media outlets for the whole week, and turns up on Sunday and gets every major decision correct, gets most of the minor ones right, and takes a harsh line on persistent fouling. If he does that, I am confident we will win as we are the better side, and are playing at home.
