why the need to post the story from that rag if you just think he is crap

 

i don't think it's money well spent either but he is a Rangers player and will get my backing as long as he's here and every time he plays, he's not trying to play badly and is also still learning so I will give him a bit longer.

 

I reckon I would be looking for more than a learner for circa �£4 million, I hope WS was. Maybe you should read the OP.

In the OP you said about the story "True or not, he keeps appearing in the papers for all the wrong reasons, time to cut your losses and ours WS at the earliest opportunity". Does that post not mean you want rid of him for negative press

 

Then later you said you "Naw I just think he is hopeless, a very very bad piece of business all round, good money wasted, that succinct enough". Does that post not mean you want rid of him as you think he's hopeless

I think Johnnys point was that if you just think he is a hopeless player, you didnt need to cite a rag that would make and already-caught-killed-and-deep-fat-fried fish blush with shame at being wrapped in it, to make your case. Even if Lafferty is downright evil, nothing in the NOTW is going to make him look any worse. Its like saying lafferty must be crap because fred west said so. The fact that you would use Fred West to have an excuse to have a pop at Lafferty doesnt reflect very well on you... the lengths some fans would goto to vent at a player.... shame on you!

I was having a laugh, but when you start making NOTW articles about dogs and furniture an excuse for a rant - siding with the scummiest sort of degenerate journalism - then you're not going to garner a lot of support. I wouldn't even hold anything written in the NOTW against a Celtic player.

I've got a fair few complaints about Lafferty, but if you think I'm going to hold him responsible for the NOTW thinking some complaint about a dog is newsworthy it's really you that's one of the laughs you keep mentioning.

Last time I looked, Kyle Lafferty was one of us. There's no story here, loyalty cuts both ways.

 

Wabash has had a real hatred for Lafferty for as long as I can remember. Not a word of praise for him for the few games he played well recently, yet when he gets a chance to attack him he takes it.

 

It's personal with him, however much he pretends he wants to see Lafferty play well and prove him wrong.

Hardly personal, he isn't that high in my list of priorities, more an acknowledgement of how standards have slipped, I mean �£4 mill for a 6' 4" winger with no wings and even less ability says more than I ever could. I was fortunate to see some of the Rangers greats going back to Caldow, Shearer, Harold Davies a true Ranger and a true hero, Millar, Brand Wilson, Scott, McMillan, Baxter, Greig, I could go on for ever. So I need not apologise or hide my opinion of lafferty, I think I have a few good benchmarks to measure laffert against, and frankly he doesn't measure up at all.

And yet the Allan McGregor thread doesn't even register an opinion from you, far less any condemnation.

 

If this wasn't personal, you'd have cited an opinion on both.

 

Stop pretending it's about 'standards'.
