More... Celtic forward Marc-Antoine Fortune has questioned title rivals Rangers' ability to cope with the pressure that comes with their lead at the top of the Scottish Premier League. Rangers saw their healthy gap cut to eight points on Wednesday as their draw away to Motherwell was bettered by Celtic's 2-0 win over Hearts at Parkhead. Tony Mowbray's side can reduce the deficit further with a win in their early kick-off at Aberdeen on Saturday, while Rangers host Hibernian on Sunday. Fortune, who scored the second against the Jambos, believes a win over the Dons could affect Walter Smith's camp with the two sides set to meet again at Ibrox at the end of the month. Asked if he thought their Old Firm rivals would crack in the title run-in, Fortune replied: "I think so, yes. "In the dressing room after the Hearts game, we all said that we can do it and we have to believe it. There are 14 games left and we have put them under pressure. "When you see the team behind you win and win and you make some mistakes, you start to think about it and it's not good when you think about it. "Rangers drew 1-1 with Motherwell (on Wednesday) so we see that they can lose or draw so we have to believe and I think we will do it." metlika 0
Everybody seems to be speaking to the greek fanny as each press release I see from them is we will crack.
Zappa 0
Everybody seems to be speaking to the greek fanny as each press release I see from them is we will crack. . The sad cnuts are confused. They think repeating a Hindu style Rangers will crack mantra while rattling beads can actually transform reality.
OnlyOneAmoruso 0
So by that logic when you see the team behind you slip up over an extended period of time it must give you unshakeable belief? Cheers Costa.
craig 5,199
I wouldnt read too much into what he says. What he says bears no relation to reality. As a Gers fan it is a GOOD thing that they are saying these things. Why ? Because it shows that they are so far behind that they cant come out with the "it is in our own hands" statement. They have no option but to resort to attempting to apply pressure on us with rhetorical statements that they have no evidence to back up. Example : "Asked if he thought their Old Firm rivals would crack in the title run-in, Fortune replied: "I think so, yes." - he doesnt know anything about our players so how can he possibly be making such a statement with authority ?
