Consortium-Second Offer Soon?

But not accounted for in public til the yearly accounts are released? Or am I failing miserably to understand the finanical aspect again?

Therefore the bank should accept around £21mil for the club? No?

It may not even be completely accounted for in June 30th 2010 depending on when UEFA pay the final tranche..

I doubt the bank will see it as empirically as my fag-packet calculations... ;)

it certainly wasnt accounted for last time our debt was announced. That point was highlighted at the time.

Lol.

I'm probably one of the least financially astute on here, so I can only cope with the fag-packet calculations and just try to follow the rest of what's going on. :(

The CL TV money which is a large % of the total we get, doesn't get paid out until the tournament is completed.

Is this fact? I've heard it before, but I've never heard it officially confirmed.

It's just been hearsay.

Regardless of the CL money having been received it should at least be recorded in the financial statements of the club. They should have it as a receivable as they should know, within reason, what it is going to be.

Even if they don't it would still be taken into account when due diligence is performed. The bank will have their number of what it should be (which will be conservative as a higher number produces better income and more debt repayment).

Due diligence gets performed with these types of things in mind. Financial statements will be produced and one would have to expect that projections would be made on them and the CL cash (or remainder) would be taken into account.

The receipt of that cash is almost irrelevant when it comes to concluding the deal for the club because it will already be taken into account by both parties.

.

I looked into this a few months back when there was a lot of discussion & speculation about it and I'm quite certain that's the case, but I can't remember whether I posted the source of the info & details on a thread here or on RM (or both). So, to be safe you can take it with a pinch of salt unless you can manage to find the relevant thread/s either here or on RM. I just tried a forum search on RM, but without success because I've got no idea which type of thread it was on to be able to narrow down the search to a thread title instead of broadly searching entire forum content with keywords. There's just so many threads it could be posted on - everything from threads about the CL or CL money to threads about transfer budget or club debt etc. I'll try a search here on Gersnet and might have more luck...
