The departures of Pedro Mendes and Jerome Rothen have freed up cash to allow the Scottish champions to bring in a new face. But as the guy who was being told about McArthur replied that he had just spoken to McArthur's uncle in the pie queue and he knew nothing about it, it was quickly dismissed. As for Petrov, not in our wage structure so a complete non-starter. Might be on Walter's wish list, but financially impossible I would imagine.
