BARRY FERGUSON upstaged old Ibrox pal Mikel Arteta with a masterclass that helped Birmingham send Everton crashing out.

 

The former Rangers skipper, who Alex McLeish reckons is one of the English top-flight's best performers, was the outstanding player on the pitch as Eck got one over on fellow Scot Davie Moyes at Goodison Park.

 

Ferguson helped create City's opener before scoring a brilliant second to get Brum on their way to the fifth round.
