Danny 0
What has Lafferty done in his Rangers career that deserves credit? I said I don't expect him to get any if he merits it from the likes of yourself over the next month or two. We're clearly not going to agree on where I believe he deserves credit up till now.
Super_Ally 0
Whilst I don't think Lafferty will ever likely look a £4mil player or prove he can play at a level above what he is struggling with now, I think it's clear to see he's playing below what he is capable of and this next month or so is the perfect opportunity to show what he has in his locker. Here's hoping he grabs this chance with both hands as Rangers need the fringe men to step up while we're missing some key players.

Every Rangers fan is hoping Lafferty steps upto the plate and finds some goalscoring form, or even just form. Most won't be holding their breath though.

It's not often i'm wrong () but here's hoping I am this time.

Most won't be holding their breath though. What, like the 2 he got against Motherwell? And besides, why would you expect goalscoring form when he's been getting played on the left side of midfield? It's unreasonable views like yours which condemns him before a ball is kicked.
Danny 0
For a multitude of reasons, he's a shell of what he was last season. He's barely featured this year, and he's looking completely unsettled. Even given a run up front he's still not doing it at all. Being played on the left too much, never having the backing of the supporters, a number of stupid incidents and a few negative pieces in the press have left Kyle with almost no confidence and looking distinctly uncomfortable wherever he plays. I had high high hopes for him after his striker displays last year, but this year we're seeing none of it even when he gets a rare start up there. He has a few more chances to justify my fragile faith in him, and if he has any future at Ibrox, it starts at St Mirren on Wednesday.
craig 5,199
"barely featured this year" ?? Eh. He has played in 14 SPL games (out of 21), 1 SC game (out of 2 - and had flu for one of those games), 1 League Cup game (out of 2) and 4 Euro games (out of 6). You can say he hasnt been played in his preferred position but to suggest he has "barely featured" is just plain wrong. Sure, some of those games he may have been a sub but he still "featured"
gisabeer 409
We can hope till the cows come home but walter smith must surely look at the boy and realise he has made a monumental mistake. Lafferty is bloody terrible. It is beggars belief that he continually gets selected given the standard of his game play. smiths biggest failing though. not seeing whats staring him in the face.
williamh 0
Said before he joined we only signed him because sellick wanted him. He never was and probably never will be a £4 million player.
Zappa 0
He never was and probably never will be a £4 million player. . I'd agree with that, but I really hope we're proven wrong in thinking that way. Either he was worth it or he wasn't & he's got a way to go before he becomes worth the money. Kenny Miller's only just this season proven to be worth what we paid for him in my eyes & we paid a fraction over half what we paid for Lafferty. Looks like 'Laff' has some work to do.....
