craig 5,199
Paying 16.000? pound per week and paying a fee of 3.75 million gives us a right to a bit of maturity.I don't even blame it on a lack of maturity i just can't see a professional football player in him at this time. The amount of money we paid for him, nor his wages, buys us ANY right Pete. Being in the public eye he should know better, regardless of what he gets paid.

If i pay someone's wage then i have a right to expect that they do their work properly. We are not talking monkey nuts here. I know if i do not do my work properly then i will be given warnings and eventually sacked. Maybe it is in the football world as you say but that is surely the whole problem with football. Clubs are being asked to pay enormous fees for players with absolutely no guarantee that a player will do his best. Winston Bogarde playing for Chelsea is a perfect example of that, turning up for training in his bath slippers. There should be a body who decide if a club are getting an honest deal. A club should not have to pay millions for someone who is not even trying to do their best.

Maturity is not measured in pund signs whether we want it to be or not. That was my point.

You are right, but i really think you could have imagined i was speaking about Rangers and not the supporters. Supporters only have the right to pay money and watch unfortunately.
wabashcannonball 0
Fans also have the right not to watch if they feel they are being shortchanged, as was very forcibly exercised in the John Greig era as manager. Something very public needs to be said about lafferty's conduct, and by the club. Everyone else and their grandmother have had a say on his disgraceful attitude, in house reprimands or the club appearing to have little interest in lafferty's comments are good for neither the club the supporters or lafferty.
Frankie 8,830
I wouldn't be buying into overly negative media coverage about the player. He's had his reprimand behind the scenes (by the club captain and by the manager) so I'm comfortable enough about that for the time being.
Super_Ally 0
It's is naive, no a bit ridiculous in fact, to expect the club to come out and chastise Lafferty for his recent media comments in retaliation to a muppet like Nicholas. No club or manager would do that and I don't understand what anyone thinks we have to gain from it.
wabashcannonball 0
You would have to take that up with WS, he did after all very publicly send KB home from training due to his attitude over being dropped. As has been said previously whatever anyone thinks of Champagne, lafferty would not lace his boots in any footballing sense, simples.

Showing your manager disrespect is not comparable to telling a joke pundit to shut his hole. You really are crap at this fishing stuff.
