Still, it sickens me to think so much money is being wasted on this clown. I thought thought the days of big pay offs were behind us. It was a reasonably prudent signing given the facts at the time. On hindsight, with his form very poor along with the resurgence of Novo and Beasley on the wings it's no wonder we want to get shot early. If we can't then it's tough but you can't ever base your signings on hindsight without employing Mystic Meg. Sometimes players work out and sometimes they don't . It's more likely to not go so well when in the bargain basement and the money lost hurts a bit more when you're skint too. I accept his displays domestically were patchy at best, but he did show some signs of class, and certainly excelled in Germany. So why, when other players were as bad or worse than he was, was it he who got dropped out of sight and no one else? I do feel that he was treated a little unfairly, to say the least - after the Unirea match, he never featured for a second after that.
