pete 2,499
Madjid Bougherra says he wants to remain with Rangers despite speculation about a summer move from Ibrox. The defender has expressed his desire to one day play in the Premier League in England, while Rangers might be prepared to sell to ease their debts. "I have two years of my contract left at the end of the season," Bougherra told Rangers' website. "So it is not for me to say I'll leave in the summer as it's not me who makes that decision." Speculation had been fuelled when Bougherra was quoted as saying he wanted to see out the season at Ibrox before heading for the World Cup with Algeria in the summer. If it comes to the stage where I have to sort my career out, I'll have to speak to other teams "When I said I don't want to leave in January and that I wanted to stay for the whole season, that doesn't mean I want to go after that," he said. "I will still have two years left then and I want to stay. If I am here for two years more then good, as I feel good here. "I will go to the World Cup and we will see what happens after that. Maybe I will sign a new contract with Rangers, who knows? "I'm playing in all the games and I've got to play in the Champions League. Everything is good for me to progress." Meanwhile, Kirk Broadfoot is bracing himself to be drafted in at centre half while Bougherra is on African Cup of Nations duty with his country during January. "I'll play anywhere the manager wants me to play," said Broadfoot, who has played mainly at right-back since joining Rangers and hopes to extend his own contract beyond next summer. "Obviously, when Madjid goes, he's got a decision over whether he puts me centre-half, or Danny Wilson, or even Lee McCulloch. "It's a busy time of the year and I'm sure everyone will get used at some point." If a decent offer comes in he will be sold. Broadfoot to CH! Noooooh. Please Walter don't do that. Danny Wilson is better there.
craig 5,199
WS will play Danny Wilson ahead of both McCulloch and Broadfoot there, I have little doubt

I hope you're right Craig, but I'm almost certain that we'll see Broadfoot playing in central defense before the season is out. If WS plays McCulloch there again this season he deserves everything he gets.
Zappa 0
WS will play Danny Wilson ahead of both McCulloch and Broadfoot there, I have little doubt . It's worth mentioning that if Wilson plays in certain U19s matches, he's probably not likely to feature in the 1st team that week. Since the reserve games are now minimal, it's probable that some of the U19s who make the bench for the first team will be given a run out in the U19s games, so for example if Wilson had been played against Falkirk on Friday in the U19s game at Stirling Uni', then he'd possibly not even have been on the bench yesterday.
fraser54 0
I think Walter would play wilson in there and keep Broadfoot at right back, Broadfoot is our first choice right back from now on !
alexscottislegend 2,325
You're forgetting that we will STILL need a CB because Weir is slowing down. Wilson and Webster, anyone? How about Barr at Falkirk? Can't be too dear if anything is left of the Majid money.
