wabashcannonball 0
Loyalty, yes an old fashioned principle, but one that was a Rangers tradition, sadly the mighty dollar and agents have put paid to that once unspoken but expected principle of Rangers players. Will we ever see their likes again.
Zappa 0
Playing devil's advocate: Is there an argument for Walter rotating the keeping position to keep Alexander happy? If Smith was to guarantee him, say 15 SPL games per season plus a selection of Cup games, would he take it? Shagger can be consoled with the fact he is still number one and, form allowing, will get the nod for the OF and european ties. Rangers benefit because they keep two top quality goalkeepers match fit. . I'm not sure that rotation would help much, if at all. It's possible that by the end of the summer transfer window we could be down to one top quality keeper from these two plus A N other (a youngster such as Gallacher or another keeper brought in on the cheap). It's likely that we'd see another keeper being brought in & the youngster remaining No.3 for next season imo, but you never know. It really just depends whether we lose AM or NA anytime between now & the end of the summer transfer window.
Gribz 972
Many guys would have been hunting for the nearest exit after him being put back as No.2, so I admire the way Alexander has went about this. IMO Alexander should have started the season as number 1 but now with hindsight WS was right to bring McGregor back in due to his superb form. Keepers is the one position we have been blessed with since I have watched Rangers. To hold onto these 2 would be great but I can see 1 of them moving on either January or the summer.
