boss 0
Not necessarily I guess as they may have had to go through the PCC if NOTW didn't act.... If the NOTW did make up the quotes surely there is no way they would risk going to the PCC. The only reasons there could be for no apology are if either the quotes were true, or because they weren't asked for one (perhaps because the quotes were true).
ian1964 10,761
I disagree actually. Murray has had the club up for sale for 3 years and the club haven't mentioned anything to PLUS nor said at AGMs they can't talk about it. That has changed over the last month. Something is afoot but whether it is something that will change the status quo is open to debate. A debate you're more than welcome to continue and one I'd be happy to contribute to if there was new information available. There isn't so I'm not sure what else we can say at this stage. That may well change sooner rather than later... Any more on this?,it's all gone very quiet
Frankie 8,665
Not heard a thing and as I said on Friday I'd rather have silence than partial quotes in the media and unofficial forums... I'd much prefer we didn't hear anything more until whoever wants to buy the club puts in their offer, and if this forms part of a consortium with fan groups, all members of said consortium were prepared to stand up and be questioned by those they want to contribute. All the better if said consortium had successful, well-kent businessmen and had the backing of credible celebrities, playing legends and other former club figures. Such a strategy may take more than a few weeks to perfect though, hence why we've not heard as much of late. It is extremely easy to go to the papers with what you want to do but it is much more difficult to actually put one's money where one's mouth is. Perhaps spring may be a more likely time for movement on this once MIH's financial position is clearer.
