SPL all time top scorer prediction thread

Four or five more years at Rangers and Boyd will be breaking all sorts of club records. The man is an absolute phenomenon, arguably our best signing since Laudrup.

He still doesn't do enough for some fans though ?,:)

Sorry Ian you are seeing this from one side. Boyd has become a better player because of the criticism that he got. If everyone had said nothing he would still be lazing through games. I hope his development continues.

Pete,I don't think I am seeing it from one side, the fact is some fans don't like/rate Boyd and nothing he does will ever change that. I also don't think Boyds' improvement is down to getting criticised by fans but probably down to encouragement from the coaching staff and hard work on his behalf.

But I will agree with your last point :)

I dont think the criticism he got(gets) from fans is much to do with it. From the moment WS came in he said he wanted more from Boyd.

Regardless, the point Ian seems to be making is that some fans STILL dont think he does enough. Which is present tense which means currently - and I think he is right, there are still some who dont want Boyd as our starting striker, and that simply amazes me.

Yesterday, and in the last few games, Boyd has been very productive but not just in goal-scoring. His tracking back, harassing of defenders, his first touch and his link-up play has been of a very high standard.

In fact, he is doing more of the "headless chicken" that Miller gets acclaimed for than Miller himself is.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Kris Boyd has been one of, if not THE, most improved player(s) at Ibrox - his fitness is far beyond what it was even 6 months ago - he now seems like he can run almost all day and not just when chasing a goal.

Vastly improved and if he does leave us I will certinly be saddened to see him go because I simply can't see how we can possibly replace him.
