Yet again today he failed to impress me in the middle of the park. Only time i have seen him play good there was along side Edu.

In my opinion he is better out wide, him and Beasley linked up well on the right hand side. Just the final ball was lacking

 

So your choice for Davis, centre mid or out wide ??

I really can't say one way or the other at the moment. He doesn't appear to be gelling well with Thomson, but that could be to do with Thomson not being anywhere near back to his best. Mendes is out for a while, so we can leave him out of the equation & just hope that Edu comes back from injury playing well immediately. It's mind-blowing how quickly our central midfield has gone from being our strongest area to one of our biggest problems when you look at the money we've spent on it. Injuries have been a major blow to that area. I don't like repeating myself, but we shouldn't have sold Adam, especially not for such a small fee.

Played better after being moved out wide today.

 

Seems incapable of taking the responsibility/leadership to play in the middle of midfield.

 

Expect a lot more from the lad.

Me and my mate didnt relise Davis was playing till about 60 mins , so for me was anonamous again and not living up to his reputation.
