Zappa 0 Posted November 7, 2009 Share Posted November 7, 2009 (edited) Going quite well for the striker now. 7 goals in 10 SPL games despite the fact that he's only started 8 of those games. Remember he didn't start against Aberdeen or Hearts. He only came on for the last 25 mins or so against the sheep & didn't come on till the 89th min at Tynecastle. His first touch has improved, his awareness has improved and his link-up play has improved. IMO he is now more than just a goalscorer and contributes far more to the team cause. It is a bit frustrating the number of freekicks given against him but it was blatant today that Brines was anti-Rangers in his decisions as every single high ball up to Boyd was met with a free kick against him whilst Mehmet was doing the very same thing at the other end of the park and there were no fouls. 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Although he does try the world cup winning pass at times which doesn't happen lol. Loved how Nacho was trying to dribble the ball in the net, Boyd was having none of that and just smashed it on off Novo's toe's. Anyone know how the two compare in terms of games played / goals scored? If Boyd breaks the record in less games it'll be an absolutely outstanding achievement and I look forward to the bheasts phoning Traynor in their droves ("aye but Larsson won more corners"...."aye but Larsson had more assists"...."aye but Larsson conceded less throw-ins"....).
