Frankie 8,665
Sounds like a good event - unfortunately won't be able to make it next weekend but I'm sure some interesting points should arise from it.
Bluedell 5,679
I thought that it always was open to non-members. The last one was very good, and by the sounds of it this one will be as well. However nothing really happened following the last one, and I feel the same thing could result. Unless the RST can get the club involved, then there is a high risk in nothing productive being achieved. Any idea what time it starts at? If I do go then I'll pay at the door, which I presume is allowed.
Frankie 8,665
I'm still waiting on the report from SS/MD on the last one which was to be circulated to the members and websites etc... Perhaps that explains why nothing was followed up effectively?

I agree that the RST failed to really do anything by way of a follow up, as far as I can remember anyway, and I would hope that anything of note that arises as a result can be taken forward and presented to the club.
Norris Cole 0
Some real interesting speakers there by the sounds of it.
maineflyer 0
Wonder what the £5 is for? I'd have thought that every possible barrier to attendance should be removed.
Frankie 8,665
I'd imagine the expenses of the MPs can't be cheap... Does seem to charge for such an event but £5 isn't a great deal of cash for those really interested in the subjects.
Wija 0
A good mix of speakers by the looks of it. There will definately be some "differing" ideals on show.
maineflyer 0
In that case, don't waste your fiver. You'll be preached at by some, patronised by others and you'll emerge from the meeting no further forward than when you went in. As for influencing these speakers, I don't think so.
