But this trophy should go back to its old dates of being completed in October. Whats the point of having a 4 month gap between the Semi's and the final? It penalises teams who have done well to get the semi's / final then suffer bad form or injuries. All the best finals I can remember were in October time bar 1 (Celtic at Hampden in 2003 when Hartson missed the pen and we won it 2-1) 1) The 3 finals against aberdeen in the late 80s were quality games - Cooper's rocket free kick! 2) Then the 4-3 against Hearts at Parkhead in 1996 was a classic - Gazza's 2 solo's after he downed a Whisky in the lounge at half time with his kit on!
