I would say the Romanian keeper was the busier and had to make better saves.

 

MacGregor had one really good save for a shot which again came from a deflection. Apart from that it was mostly bread and butter stuff. If he'd let any of the others in then he would be receiving criticism.

 

Their keeper had more saves of note although our finishing should either have been better or had more pace on the shots.

 

Kenny Miller missed the best chance of the game.

 

In conclusion, MacGregor did play well but in the end only needed to make one save of real note from a deflection. He had zero chance at the goal.

PS The commentators kept coming out with the line that he was keeping us in the game but they were talking complete bollocks throughout the game in the usual anti-Rangers style/

I thought MacGregor made two terrific saves in the match, one from a free kick which skidded up to him, and the one from the deflection, over all he had a great game.

I'd have been very critical if he'd let the free kick in so see it as a normal save. Their keeper made a similar save to Thomson's free kick so maybe he kept them in the game...

From the replays I watched it didn't look to me like Thomson's free kick was going in though Calscot. It looked like it might have hit the woodwork right enough, so who knows. Great free kick for wet conditions like that though with the way it curled in low & hit the ground early. It could easily have taken a nice wee skid into the net.
