fraser54 0
Just been sitting thinking about this bank rubbish. Say if an offer comes in at £20 million, does that money pay off the debt and you run the club ?? Murray is still the major shareholder so wouldn't that £20million go to Sir David, we would have new owners but still be £30 million in debt ? Help me out here
Frankie 8,552
Apparently Murray will not get anything for his shares so the £15-£35million talked about the buy the club is essentially what goes to the bank for their debt...
fraser54 0
Is that Murray's decision ?? So his shares get sold, but the money goes to the bank. If that's the case i think Sir David should be thanked in this case
Frankie 8,552
Probably not his decision, no. More likely to be enforced upon him given the state of the parent company (MIH)... Should he be thanked for that? Well that is debatable depending on what the actual situation is...
calscot 0
Seems like his relationship with us has ultimately been a lose - lose scenario... But if that's the case, the club are a bargain for any investor who can drum up the money. It's surprising that no Russian, Arab or Americans fancy getting a British Institution on the cheap which could potentially bring CL football every year and give them a very high profile. Not that I would welcome any of them with open arms. Surely Joe Lewis could find enough loose change in his suit pockets, down back of his couch and under his car seat to buy us? £30M is nothing to that guy.
