calscot 0
Smith is much better at getting forward than Papac - he used to be better left back than Hutton was a right back. He's not got that form back but he's about passable. I'm not too confident about placing our hopes on 17 year olds and I think our problem seems to be that we've no decent youngsters about 19-22 to put in their first who are much further on in their development. Most of our best young guns seem to be around the 17-18 mark. Most kids that age are still pretty immature, living at home and just getting well into lager and girls without having a clue about either. How many of us would actually like to rely on an inexperienced 17 year old at work for something really mission critical and could make the difference of millions of pounds of income? Weir aside, our teams lately have been very young compared to our more successful sides, and in my mind, that could be causing the consistency problem. If possible, I would prefer to bring in Papac and put Smith on the left.

ian1964 10,720
But Smith is no less adept at getting forward than Papac is he ? I would have thought the sensible money would be on Papac playing beside Weir with Smith at LB. I wont complain should Wilson get a start though, could do his confidence the world of good. I think Papac carries more of a goal threat than Smith,IMO. I will not be dissapointed to see Papac @ CH & Smith @ LB, I am simply saying Wilson has showed enough to be given a go in Romania and I don't think he will be put under as much pressure as he was against DUTD. Again I don't think Wilson would let anyone down,as he has already shown he has strength & pace and is a CH.

andy steel 0
All previous history says Walter will never give Wilson a start in midweek. I hope I'm wrong, but I can't see it.
alexscottislegend 2,302
Or slash his confidence.! Much as I have been hoping for Wilson to get a break I actually agree with Pete here. I would hate to see his growing reputation tarnished should he make a crucial mistake. Big Lee, on the other hand, has no reputation to lose.
