Right, but what has that to do with whether he back-tracked or not ? He didnt back-track S_A. He refused to answer questions, referred the media to the club's statement - that isn't back-tracking Saying that he does, does not explain his initial outburst and sudden muzzling. How does it not ? The way I see it is that he made his initial outburst without consulting anyone else. The club saw his statement, issued its own and told Smith to toe the party line.
