That means he doesn't get his chance to impress for Portugal and help them to the World Cup, but more importantly it is a huge loss to us. He hasn't been at his best this season but he is our flair player, make something happen, last night he scored and he was looking good on the ball as well. Thomson is still way WAY off his best after coming back & I'd rather see a youngster playing in midfield than McCulloch. If we stick with 4-4-2 then its Davis and Thomson for me with Novo and beasley getting a try in the wide areas.
