Mystery as Madjid Bougherra fails to return from qualifier

Recommended Posts

Not saying it's acceptable, but what's probably happened is that because we have no good defensive cover other than youngsters, Bougherra thinks that he'll get away with taking xtra time with family in Algeria after his international game last week. He was actually given till the Wednesday & not due to train at Murray Park till Thursday morning so there's no excuse for him taking xtra xtra time off when he was able to spend some time with family & friends anyway. It's just taking the piss. I bet he was celebrating with the Algerian squad & he's been shacked up in a 5-star hotel with some hussies ever since. Lucky bastard.

This guy is actually getting on my tits with his whole attitude, maybe I am being over critical but something tells me he wants out.........regardless of what he says in the press, if you don't want to be here..........then GTF

I'm beginning to think the same. Even if he is back and training I would leave him on the bench for Tuesdays game

Given he was dropped this is obviously a disciplinary issue.

Will he play on Tuesday or will he be given the same punishment Ferguson and McGregor - 2 week fine and suspension from first team duties?

We don't have the luxury of dropping him for the CL game. We must play our best players, regardless of whether or not they act like brats.

We're all over a barrel, but then, we're in it together as well. There's no point cutting off the nose to spite the face.

Like Andy Steel says, I don't think we can afford to drop him.

With McGregor and Ferguson there were decent replacements, with Boogie there is not. I think that might be taken into consideration in deciding his punishment, not taht Smith will admit that.

I think Barry Ferguson & Shagger were dealt with quite severely for less
