Supporters Trusts in the UK: did you know?

Recommended Posts

Thanks for that, genuinely. To be honest, I don't know whether to laugh or laugh even louder. Is it OK to quote you elsewhere? Good to see you've settled in so quickly. :D Good luck with improving the lives of Londoners

What is funny about explaining the difference between an aim and an objective (and it was you who asked for the explanation) using an established example? If you're just going to take the piss when I try to be helpful I'm not really going to bother with you mate. Seriously.

Calm down, I didn't see anything to lose the place about. Did you see the smilies - they give the clue that this was offered in jest. Let's be honest here, your reply was quite funny.:)

Aims?

If the RST are moving away from this aim then they should perhaps look at stopping calling themselves a Supporters Trust?

Rather than looking at new aims, perhaps they should be revisting their current aim and asking why they are not doing more (/something) in that regard?

Re-read it Bluedell. I said re-validating our objectives against our aims.

I've tried to be helpful to MF for years mate. It's a losing battle but sometimes worth persevering through his hard exterior to the soft wit inside.

When you visit the RST website and look under "RST Accounts" - there aren't any. Number of files = 0. D'you suppose they're filing them under another header for added security?

When I was the Trust webmaster, I always meant to get round to adding the annual accounts - as I did the AGM minutes. Obviously never did add them - don't think it was for any specific reason although maybe some things should be member-only.

It isn't too difficult under the Joomla CMS to make these type of important files member only or have their available for public access. Completely up to the organisation I guess.

You don't know how soft it is mate, advancing years don't come by themselves.:) And your help shall not go unrewarded ... look left when you pass through those pearly gates, I'll be waiting with a freshly poured pint. (You'll get to watch me drink it:))

The thing is though, if the RST would for once conduct it's affairs in a spirit of genuine openness then there would be no need to probe for information. The aims of the RST are already clearly stated, all that's necessary is to tell the Rangers community what they plan to do or hope to achieve, and when. It's no secret (well, when I come to think about it, it might be) that for years clear objectives have been clouded by generalised intentions. It's not as if the RST doesn't have form. All anyone wants is clarity of purpose and plain speaking..... and a successful RST.
