I'd rather have an enthusiastic youth player than Mendes at the moment. Is it my imagination or was Walter Smith all over he papers only a few weeks ago telling everyone how Rangers would be relying on youth talent this season? I wonder when "this season" starts? Presumably the day after Smith finally completes his personal fossilisation.
