Yieldshields loyal 0
Been having a debate with my pal as to whether you would stick Danny Wilson in for the last 20 minutes against Killie at the weekend, albeit depending on scoreline. Dont know how he's doing in the reserves at the moment, but worth a shot if he's as good as the reports say??

Gazza_8 233
If Weir doesn't make it (I think he will) then McCulloch will stand in for Boogie. If we're winning by 2 or 3 goals with 20 minutes remaining I wouldn't change anything because big Lee is still learning to play the CB position and I wouldn't take Weir off as that would leave us with big Lee and an inexperienced Wilson. If Weir doesn't make it for the Killie game then I'd move Papac into the middle to partner Lee and bring Stevie Smith back into the team to play at LB.
Bluedell 5,883
I don't see Papac playing at centre half. Whittaker has been put in there before him and obviously Smith doesn't rate him as one. Wilson could start if there is no Weir
Union City Blue 0
Borrowed from FF - an article done by OOA and Laudrup1 about a month ago reviewing all our young players in light of our thin squad; Danny Wilson is the real star pick of the bunch for me, even more so than Fleck. Ive seen him play in the 19s since he was 15, like Fleck. His passing is sensational. 60 yards cross field balls get launched onto the wide players toes almost as the norm. He reads a game brilliantly too. Got the stature the modern day player needs too, like Ness. I cant praise him highly enough. Defenders get less of the headlines I suppose but hell be a real star for us. Of that I have no doubt. Could well see him being bled into the team at left back similar in a sense to how Gough began his professional career at Dundee Utd before moving into the middle. If Danny doesnt make it with us, somethings gone sadly wrong. never seen the lad play myself so can't comment, but this is what a couple of guys who have seen him have got to say. Quite encouraging if true.
Zappa 0
I wanted to see Wilson get a start against Motherwell so that we could rest Davie Weir & get a good look at Wilson against a half decent SPL side early in the season. The sooner we get the guy playing & gaining more experience, the better because Lee McCulloch is not the answer to our center back shortage & neither is captain Kirk when he comes back into the picture.
ian1964 10,826
I would prefer he played at Ibrox, rather than away from home

Union City Blue 0
I would prefer he played at Ibrox, rather than away from home In some ways yeah, but playing on front of 10,000 at Killie (at least half of which are Rangers fans) may possibly be better than 50,000 at Ibrox. We won the game 4-0 there last year.
