Hearts goal off side ?

Recommended Posts

I sat immediately behind the goals, a dozen rows back. I noted Davie Weir sprinting off after the linesman after Hearts scored. He was demanding a flag, then he turned his attention to the referee. I think the linesman was Martin Cryans, certainly looked like him, and he has plenty of previous in this regard, involving Rangers.

Cheers Ian. I asked about this in the match thread but no one noticed.

Granted it doesn't matter now. Just best to remember this as no doubt the papers will be full of how we got all the decisions.

After last year where Celtic probably earned at least 15 points due to dodgy decisions in their games or ours I think it's worth keeping an eye on.

To be fair though it was very close and Witteveen was coming back into play. By the time the linesman takes his eye off the pass and onto the line the player likely was onside. Hard one for linesmen to get right. But he WAS offside.
