Alexander treated harshly - Smith

The general feeling around me was this was walter putting McGregor in the shop winow.

I can't really believe you pick your team for commercial reasons, if so it is even worse management than i thought. Surely Alexander's confidence would have to be taken into account with a decision like that.

It's a sore one for Alexander. He hasn't put a foot wrong any time he has played. That said, I would agree with Walter in that I think McGregor is a better keeper although I don't agree with his selection yesterday. All this has done is put McGregor under a spotlight (not necessarily a bad thing - any player at Ibrox must be able to handle the pressure that comes with the jersey). As soon as he makes a mistake, it'll rake this whole thing up again.

How can you say McGregor is the better keeper and say Alexander has not put a foot wrong. I agree Alexander has not put a foot wrong but i remember McGregor being very shaky last season and flapping at balls on a regular basis. The season before last i agree McGregor was immense.
