Bluedell 5,883
Parks have had the Rangers contract for over 20 years. As someone whose company gives Parks a lot of business, I believe buying Rangers ain't going to make that much difference. In respect of the rumours, yes, DP is apparently interested but it looks like it won't happen. Edited August 13, 2009 by Bluedell

Zappa 0
Here's a rumour that was just posted on another forum, probably by the same clan of cnuts that have been behind other rumours including some of the BS summer transfer ones. I have heard a rumour recently that Alan Smith, Tonel and David Healy are forming a consortium to buy Rangers. They will register themselves as players and the first signing will be David Trezeguet. The plan is then to team up with the guys from Weir pumps and Las Vegas Sands casinos to rebuild Ibrox based on the Japanese world cup stadium. Graeme Souness will be chairman. Anyone else heard this rumour?
Big Spliff 0
Maybe someone has a better idea than me, but i'd say the money to buy a controlling interest in RFC could not possibly be made back in bus rental over a reasonable period. That said, the potential business synergies are quite extensive if you think about it. If true, sounds like partly an emotional purchase imo - which would be no bad thing.

I seriously doubt there's enough money in bus rental/contracts, as the damn things must cost an absolute fortune to build/buy & maintain (license, insurance, tax etc). I'm not saying there's NO profit in buses, but in the case of Parks it's a primarily a big fcuk off traveling advertisement for where they make their real money (imo) - selling & leasing cars. I could be wrong, but that's the way I see it.
Zappa 0
Here's another pish rumour from the Rangers interweb courtesy of an infection - i have heard a rumour that murray will sell to donald trump in january the reason murray selling up in january because walters contract is up then and murray does not want to hire a new manager anyone else heard this rumour As you can see, the infection doesn't speak English as we know it.
Bluedell 5,883
oops, now I'm embarrassed. What contract is that exactly then BD? They supply the coaches for the team. Jimmy Bell, the kit man, started off working for Parks and drove the team around in a coach. Rangers ended up asking him to work for them instead. I know that during the 90s Rangers always got the same coach every week. LSK 555 may have been the reggie.

No chance if he was going to walk away he would have done it in June and gave a new manager a chance to set his own standards. definite wind up not even worth considering.
