But if he isnt playing (which he must have been told) then by keeping him we would a) be holding him back (havent done that before....) b) wasting what, 200k on wages p.a ? If we got 500k for him and we saved 200k p.a. then we effectively get 700k for him. Not that bad for a player who wouldnt get a game. I know what you are saying S_A but the reality is that players based in England go for a far greater sum than players playing in Scotland. Funny thing is.... we are still complaining about it being a bad deal when this exact same type of player, a couple of years ago, would have been PAID to leave, rather than us get a fee out of it. Not that that is such a great achievement, but it would be for someone so far out of the picture at Ibrox and so ridiculed by many bears.
