I know but I reckon Celtic could beat 4 out of the 5 teams listed. Everyone will want to avoid Arsenal and probably be happy with their draw if they do.

As I said though, every one of those teams, if they get Celtic, will also be thinking that they have hit the jackpot.

 

Celtic are not a great team. Neither are those teams, aside from Arsenal. But just because those teams are beatable doesn't make Celtic UNbeatable.

 

The reality is that Celtic will likely go in against any of those teams as underdogs. Which suggests they are the weaker of the two teams.

 

Yes, the draw could have been worse for them but it also could have been much worse for their opponents too.

I have a horrible feeling Celtic will qualify. With the exception of Arsenal, Celtic could beat any of the other 4 teams. Lyon aren't the side they were 3 or 4 years ago, Pana are average, Sporting Lisbon are beatable and Stuttgart are definately beatable.

 

Arsenal are the only team who are guaranteed to beat Celtic.

Nothing is 'guaranteed' over 2 legs. Even a quality side like Arsenal can have off days as their EPL record shows & even an average/mediocre side like Celtic can have good days as their European record at home shows. Obviously I'd expect Arsenal to win, since they're by far the better team, but I wouldn't be putting money on it.

TBH, I can't see the tims drawing Arsenal anyway, as their suspiciously never seems to be a battle of Britain CL qualifier. I'd guess at them drawing Lyon or Sporting.
