Comments (0) Add to My Stories Blackpool have boosted their hopes of Coca Cola Championship survival this coming season by finally persuading Scotland midfielder Charlie Adam to complete a £500,000 move to Bloomfield Road.

Adam impressed during a loan spell with Blackpool last season but, after hearing the clubs had agreed a fee earlier this week, appeared reluctant to cut his ties with Ibrox.

Following talks with Blackpool officials, the 23-year old returned to Glasgow to determine whether he could salvage his Rangers career but was forced to conclude he would have to make a fresh start.

A free-kick specialist who scored 18 goals in 89 appearances for Rangers, Adam has accepted a three-year deal at Bloomfield Road, with an option for a further 12 months, and is expected to go straight into Blackpool's starting line-up for Saturday's Championship opener against Queens Park Rangers.

It is yeah. Best of luck to him....
