Perhaps they are waiting for them to get knocked out before looking at anyone? This is something I've seen mentioned elsewhere, but I don't think it's as cut & dry as that. I think we'll sign a CH no matter what happens with the soap dodgers, but that extra CL TV money could be pivotal on whether we only sign a CH & also on how much we spend. In other words, if they qualify, I can see us signing a CH for less that �£2m, possibly MUCH less, but if they don't, I could easily see us signing a �£2-3m CH and another player as well, for either LB or anywhere in midfield (purely as midfield squad backup unless it's a good winger). 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
