Yet again the press have taken an mildly amusing story about a singing bird and turned in into nationwide controversy. This would not have happened if the press had not made an issue out of it again managing to fan the flames. Everyone wants such an issue to go away and seek closure but the press, again, raise its ugly head. They've already done something similar by claiming the Ibrox pitch was rolled in stripes that represented an OO sash. The pitch was actually rolled in a tartan pattern but the horizontal stripes were not clear from the camera angle.
