Scotland centre half Andy Webster has signed an agreement to join Wigan Athletic from Heart of Midlothian. The move has been registered with the Football Association but Webster cannot officially be unveiled until a FIFA hearing decides how much compensation the club will have to pay Hearts in what is turning out to be a highly complicated, ground-breaking transfer. Latics hope the decision will be made 'very soon.' Chief Executive Brenda Spencer met with the player and his representative yesterday, and revealed that the club has worked tirelessly over the past month to try and conclude the deal. Gribz 850 Posted August 10, 2006 Share Posted August 10, 2006 Id of taken him at Ibrox but im not really bothered we never got him as there is its likely there are better centre halfs available.
