Gribz 745 Posted June 29, 2009 Share Posted June 29, 2009 I cant see Man City going like Leeds or Newcastle Gav, they have the financial backing like Chelsea, its all about how they manage it. If the owners pull out with a huge debt above them then they would be worse than Leeds. But i agree seeing teams trying to buy their way to the top overnight makes me look forward to the fall. But then again if Hughes has all this cash of course he is going to spend. But I look at West Ham. 2 years ago the Icelandics came in when they were flush and bought a number of players. I compare that to what Zola and Clarke and 'building' now and much prefer the latter.
