pete 2,511
PARTICK THISTLE goalkeeper Jonny Tuffey today admitted he is flattered by reports suggesting that Rangers chief scout Ewan Chester was monitoring his performance for Northern Ireland against World champions Italy last Saturday. The 22-year-old was in outstanding form as he saved a penalty against the Azzurri, but says he has had no contact from Rangers and is committed to returning for pre-season with Partick on June 24. Tuffey said: "If it is the case that Rangers were over in Italy to watch me then obviously it goes without saying that is very flattering. "But there has been absolutely nothing to suggest to me that was the case or any contact. advertisement "However, Andrew Little is a Rangers player and I think it was more likely that they were in Pisa to watch Andy. "But, for me, I am just looking forward to taking a break for a fortnight and then I will turn my focus back to pre-season with Partick Thistle. Speculation is all very well, but I am a Jags player and hopefully we can build on our second place finish next season and go one step further." But Tuffey admits that facing the world champions was the biggest moment of his career to date. The Jags No.1 said: "Making my debut for Northern Ireland at Windsor Park was massive, but to get my first start against Italy, the reigning World Cup winners, has just been unbelievable. It is one I will be proud to tell the grand kids about one day." If true a sign that McGregor will leave i would think. Seemingly Smith is to leave as well leaving only Alexander.
Frankie 8,825
Yeah, I'd imagine Tuffey would be a replacement for McGregor and Smith if they both leave. Can't say I've seen a lot of the lad but he looks a reasonable investment.
Zappa 0
There's gonna be a lot of pissed off bears if we don't get a right good wedge for McGregor.

I would think in today's market 3-4 million. Any more will be expecting too much.
