Zappa 0
They have totally failed to deliver any Rangers strips south of the border, never mind abroad. The point is, that with a nation-wide sports shop, there's no excuse for it other than a big GIRUY to the Gers, which is obviously not acceptable in terms of the deal. I mean, did we sign a deal with JJB that said they were responsible for NOT distributing Rangers strips?
Zappa 0
Well I dunno about you chaps but evrey time I go to Glasgow Airport and see a bheggar store and no Rangers representation whatsoever I feel sick. JJB have been a complete embarassment to the club as far as I can see. Many bears hark back to the weeks leading up to Manchester and the fact that you couldn't get a strip for love nor money. What a complete shambles that was. Scabby wee shops with absolutely no international outlets. Our relationship with these fools reeks of the dreaded short-termism we have all come to detest. The sooner we get Nike or Adidas back the better for all of us; style boys and realists alike. Maybe you've just nailed it on the head mate. It's ultimately about distribution to the retailers (in our case JJBollocks) & obviously ours are being paid to distribute the square root of zero, hence the lack of strips in shops. +1 for an Adidas or Nike deal, but I won't be holding my breath.

Have we not just signed a new deal with Umbro?
Frankie 8,696
The Umbro deal ran out this summer but the club confirmed to me a couple of weeks back that it has been extended for at least one more year. The Carling deal runs out next summer. It looks to me as if some sort of new joint deal has been agreed for next season. Rumours were Carling were not renewing so perhaps the Emirates/Nike talk have some merit. It is all a bit strange that the club haven't made this known via a media release.
DJBlue72 0
The sooner Rangers get shot of Umbro - Same strip different year , sometimes poor quality , bring back Addidas today. JJB - The Deal is baffeling with this sinking ship of a company bring back the Rangers Shops under Rangers ownership. Carling - Yet another Bevy sponsor for Rangers , i would like something continental sounding , that gives the club the right image and goes well with the strip. The Better for all concerned. I wont hold my breath though.
Gribz 972
The umbro kits are not even comfortable. I bought Rangers and West ham home and away in the last 2 seasons and both are nothing compared to Adidas. I bought Chelsea shorts in London last year just for the sake of them being adidas and wear them all the time. Not sure about Nike, but Adidas would be a scoop!
Wija 0
Just been to the JJB locally and it is sparce. Not much in at all. Looks like another closing. Chuffed to Fcuk. I hope they fold and then we pass on our distribution to someone else for a year until next year when we change strip maker and sponsor.

Tannochsidebear 2,435
Perhaps I am just lucky to live and work in the Glasgow area and can get to the main superstore anytime I like, but I can safely say that I have intentionally never set foot in to a JJB store (superstore excepted) since this deal was announced. Despite it turning out to be financially viable, (there was a real doubt about this at the time as the phrase "credit crunch" was still years away) it said everything about the downsizing of the club, our image, and the loyalty to our staff. It also looked to me that Murray was selling off another of our assets for a quick buck to get rid of the debt (that he has now got us back into), and I vowed never to go into a JJB store until this deal finished. All the fantastic novelty items you used to be able to pick up in Rangers shops all quickly disappeared despite assurances to the contrary that they would be expanded upon, and the build up to Manchester was an even more disgraceful open goal missed than Van Vossen's.
