calscot 0
The ESPN deal has robbed us of 2-3M which we could otherwise have spent but in the end it's down to financial mismanagement by the board. Boom and bust every time. We need two high quality players to make our side a decent one but it looks like we're not going to get them. For me Tonel and Brunt would have been perfect. Adam and Gow staying has cost us another 1M plus wages or looking at it another way it's like we've spent 1M on those two players. Is that good value? Looking at the official site, with those two still here we've got 22 first team squaders: Allan McGregor Maurice Edu David Weir Pedro Mendes Sasa Papac Lee McCulloch Steven Davis Kevin Thomson Kris Boyd Nacho Novo Charlie Adam Steven Naismith Alan Gow Steven Whittaker Andrius Velicka Kenny Miller DaMarcus Beasley Kirk Broadfoot Madjid Bougherra Neil Alexander Steven Smith Kyle Lafferty With the following youngsters: Aaron Niguez John Fleck Steven Lennon Jordan McMillan Steven Kinniburgh Andrew Little Danny Wilson So the management have almost reached their goal. I'd have liked to have got rid of MacGregor, Adam, Gow and McCulloch for say 5M altogether to pay for Tonel and Brunt - and had that goal of 20 players with a decent, balanced squad; but can't see it happening.

Further to my previous complaint about Adam's fee I note today that a £3mil offer has been accepted by Sunderland from Stoke for Whitbread.
Gazza_8 233
Is there any present Rangers players you like and don't slag off :fish: Loads. Papac is a legend in my eyes. His tackle/block at Tannadice during the last game of the season won us the league. Of course the goals helped too. Alexander, Weir, Boogie, Davis, Mendes, Boyd, Novo, Thomson. Personally, I feel there's to much deadwood at Ibrox at present.

That was one of the best defensive tackles ive ever seen also! I remember seeing that and thought if that was John Terry then the EPL would be wanking over that for days!!! He still needs to get rid of that Alex Higgins haircut though!
