Frankie 8,402 Posted May 29, 2009 Share Posted May 29, 2009 I'm sure we've all heard these rumours over the last wee while. They seem to be gathering pace on other sites. Basically, the story goes a Souness led consortium (containing high net-worth bears) could be making their offer as soon as next week. I think Souness at the Old Firm game earlier this month has been somewhat of a red herring while I'm also unsure the likes of Dougie Park have the capital to turn the club around. Money wasn't able to be raised from the high net worth guys prior to the credit crunch, so I can't see them digging deep now. Monday's meant to be D-Day according to the rumours, and I very much doubt that anything will have happened by Tuesday. These are probably the best conditions Murray will have to sell out.
