Sided with Cuellar mainly because he did it at a higher level (Europe).

 

Fair enough point... but Bougherra hasnt had that chance yet.... sadly !

Cuellar. Some of his European performances was simply outstanding.

 

If only him and cuellar were at the centre. We would have conceeded single figure goals this season.

So although he may have been here for a longer period then, it may be a fairer comparison then.

 

Both have been excellent, but at the minute Cuellar just gets the nod.

Although both absolutely fantastic, there was a more stabalising gough-like presence about cuellar that is difficult to explain, but to me cuellar had but boogie doesn't.

 

Bougherra is just that little bit more flamboyant and feel that next to say mcculloch instead of weir would not look as assured as cuellar would.

Carlos for me. Gretaest defender I've seen in a Rangers shirt. When Madjid starts pulling off waist height reverse headers out of the box under pressure from European class strikers I may change my mind!

I'd go for Cuellar. Bougherra has strolled the SPL but Carlos had cracking games in Europe last season. If Bougherra performs to the same standard in the Champions League next season, he may well surpass Cuellar but Carlos nicks it for now

 

Imagine we had the 2 of them! What a pair they would be!

Cuellar was an incredible defender and I can't remember him having a bad game for us.

Butcher was a great defender for us but also a twat into the bargain.

He was fantastic for us. Also a great coup, signing England's captain who gave everything for every team he played in.
