McCoist happy to wait his turn

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately having a Rangers heart doesn't make you a good manager. Being an assistant to a good manager does not necessarily make you a good manager. I would prefer McCoist proved himself as a full manager at another club before we took him on as manager. At this moment i would have Steve McClaren as manager. Proved himself in England and is an idol in Twente and Holland. His players love him, the media love him

McClaren might well be a good choice, but getting back to reality, I think Ally McCoist is potentially just as good a manager. Ok, so he's unproven. I say let him prove himself.

Shroomz, I was meaning that the club seem to be committing themselves, not you. :)

Oh yeah, right mate, gotcha! :)

Who says it's written in stone anyway? Is there some 11th commandment hiding somewhere in Govan? (as if it would matter) :fish:

Murray made a statement during the season suggesting that McCoist was taking over when walter left. (I heard a rumour that walter was unhappy about the statement). Likewise McCoist wouldn't be taking like that if he hadn't been given a nod.

However that could all change if the consortium rumour proves to be correct.

Rumour was that he feels Ally isn't ready.

Could be a lot of crap though.

If that is the case then SDM is an idiot for making the statement. I would have thought he would consult with Walter prior to saying such things.

And if WS doesn't feel he is ready then SDM should be listening to him, especially as he is the one that knows AM best.

Aside from that, SDM made that statement knowing full well he is trying to sell the club - he really shouldn't make such statements which may well not be decisions of his to make anyway.
